Should I flex the muscle within my leg when I inject myself next to Avonex?
Or have it relaxed?
The home-care nurse who come by to teach me said to flex it but the video you find with the medication say to relax it.
Anyone have any experience next to this? Tonight is my 4th shot. My husband has done them for me respectively time but I will do my own tonight for the first time.

in broad it is better to relax your muscle when getting a shot. there is smaller number resistance and thus less strain due to the needle... it won't significantly coppers the effect of the drug either track, just the comfort height.
You never flex a muscle when getting am IM. Always relax it, even take the substance off of it.
I muse that would make it hurt more.
I own been a registered nurse for 30 years, never enjoy I heard of flexing a muscle when giving an injection. Relax the muscle as much as possible. If you can realize, it is a lot smaller amount painful to inject yourself contained by the buttocks. Sounds hard, but that's where on earth I give myself injections on a monthly cause. Make sure you are sticking the upper outer quadrant, right about where on earth you would place your hand on your hips. Good luck.
