It IS reversable...near regular brushing, flossing and dental cleaning. Floss, floss, floss....
There are many reason that a person would enjoy receding gums. Your dentist should be able to pin point the bring. One possible cause is that you are brushing your teeth too not easy at the gum line. You grounds the gums to recede and can actually cut into the root surface of your teeth. Another cause is Bruxism, tooth grinding and clenching. This is a major motive on gum recession. Bruxism can be controlled with the use of a dental appliance call a night guard, or occlusal guards. This is a softish plastic appliance, especially fabricated for your mouth, that fits over your teeth and act like a cushion to protect both the teeth and the gingival tissues. Your dentist would be the best creature to ask about why you are have gingival recession and what would be the best treatment option for you.
The with the sole purpose genetic influence on your oral health is really of late the bacteria. Your gums could be receding because you
1) brush too intricate
2) grind your teeth
3)have periodontal disease
What you need to do is natter to your dentist and find out what your situation is. You cannot make the gums grow support , (unless you get a skin graft) but if you find out what your problem is, you can stop them from receding any more.
fitting luck!
