I own dire toothache and can't see the dentist till 4 days anyone no how I can stop it hurting?

As a dentist myself my advice if the toothache is severe you may want to consider trying to send for a dentist who takes emergency appointments or nick a trip to your local ER. A very severe toothache can be a sign of a tooth abscess (infection) that wants to be treated with antibiotic psychoanalysis. Even if you do opt to go to your ER you will still stipulation to have your dentist examine this tooth as if it is an infection once you stop taking antibiotics the infection will return and is habitually times more painful than the first run around. An abscess is an extremely serious situation that has some highly life threatening complications. Infection can spread into the throat cause upper airway obstructions and can spread to the heart and brain. Until you can see a dentist or move about to the ER you can try using Motrin (Ibuprofen) as this will help relieve dull pain and will also help next to inflammation. Also try using cold compresses to help smoothness pain, never use warmness as this can cause a possible infection to worsen and spread. Best counsel a see a dentist or ER physician as soon as possible. Good Luck!
TAKE A SMALL PIECE OF COTTON, THE KIND FOUND IN THE TOP OF A MEDICINE BOTTLE. SOAK IT IN CLOVE OIL, FOUND AT MOST PHARMACIES FOR MAKING HARD TACK CANDY,. PLACE THE SMALL PIECE OF PRE-SOAKED COTTON IN OR AROUND THE TOOTH. THIS USUALLY NUMBS THE NERVE ESPECIALLY IF YOU CAN PLACE THE COTTON IN THE CAVITY OF THE TOOTH. THIS IS ONLY A TEMPORARY FIX..
You can allso use denture wax minus the clove oil.
