Oh dont give up on mortal an aspirating beauty, we want you!
Try getting some letters typed up on your computer and convey them out along with your current CV to as copious dental practises as possible, really sell yourself to these practises!
If that fail why not try signing on with an agency, not wonderful but at least you will still be getting a regular wage and keeping your foot in a profession you obviously give the impression of being to enjoy!

No doing another 3 months chairside wont effect you getting another work in this enclosed space, just explain to any adjectives employers that you own taken the exam and passed, but have to linger 3 months for your certificate to come through.

phone the local hospital and ask to speak to HR - most generals enjoy an orthodontic dept and you could even 'bank' at first to see if you like it. Failing that how roughly speaking HCA work on an orthodontic ward?
Edit - definitely ask at your local hospital next.
