Anyone enjoy an OTC solution for dermatitis on the hand?

I have small bumps that appear and disappear on the tops and sometimes the palms of my hand. They are very itchy and my doctor told me that here is not much that can be done besides keeping them clean. Any planning?

Answer:
First, if you are using harsh soaps, try to find away from that and use very mild type soap, such as Dove. Also, keeping your hand moisturized may help the itchiness. Using a neutral amount of vaseline, eucerin, or cetaphil cream may be a good choice. You could try the OTC hydrocortisone creams and see how that works. It sounds similar to you could use a good prescription cream, I can't believe you dr. didn't try one. If he isn't helping, try a dermatologist. There are deeply of great Rx topical creams that will help control the dermatitis/rash, so if the OTC stuff doesn't work, try a dermatologist. Good luck!
Try the Gold Bond lotion contained by the white bottle for extremely dry skin. My daughter and husband both have problems next to eczema and dry skin. This is the best OTC product we have found. My daughter have also been prescribed a compound -- the combination of the lotion and the compound hold really helped her condition.
