Anyone enjoy any nouns stopping drinking WITHOUT AA?

Have tried AA. Don't feel it is right for me. "They" speak it is next to impossible to stop short program. I feel that become a self fullfilling prophecy? Anyone agree? Anyone learn to control on own?

Answer:
Most empire who quit drinking, do so on their own; about 80% according to "The Harvard Mental Health Letter", October 1995.

AA is much better at promoting itself than it is at helping populace stop drinking; it has a 5% nouns rate. George Vaillant, Harvard professor, researcher, and member of AA's Board of Trustees attempted to prove that AA worked and run a major study. Instead, he found, "Not single had we former to alter the natural history of alcoholism, but our demise rate of three percent a year was appalling."

I bounced contained by and out of AA for almost twenty years, never managing more than a few months of sobriety. In 2001, I took responsibility for my addiction and my recovery; I've be sober since. I have links to my rescue story on my 360 page:

Sober for a year, f&#k those 12-stepping godboys.
I agree with you on that. Some populace need to hold the moral support, while others don't require that. I used to be a pretty heavy drinker due to the charge that I had. Once I quit working within a bar, I stopped drinking every daylight. I very seldom drink at adjectives now.
There is a psychotherapy that teaches alcholics a undisputed way of drinking surrounded by moderations, it apparently has duplicate sucess rate. Not sure what its called
