I had a liver ultrasound today. However, the technicians could not find my gall bladder.?

I have not had it removed and I fasted before my test. The techs were perplexed. All I could get from them is that I would probably need more tests. Any ideas or advice?

Answer:
It is possible to be born without a gallbladder, although it's rare. It can also be found in a variety of unusual locations -- if you look inside enough people's abdomens, you will find all kinds of interesting variations! Here is a site that mentions different variants involving the gallbladder:

Good luck in finding out what it means in your case. The radiologist who reviews the film will probably know more than the techs about what could cause this. I hope it is nothing serious.
