Most UTI's are caused by a germs, usually ecoli, that makes it's route to the opening of the urethra. Chances are, if they know they hold the UTI and are on medication for it, that bacteria have been wash away. Even if it hasn't there is a possibility that the personality received the UTI because of a lowered immune system. Generally, I'd say you can't intervene it on. But ouch why are you having sex next to a UTI??
I honestly do not know but I can say that if your partner drinks and you enjoy sex, you can get a urinary track infection because of the yeast. I do believe your partner have to be a heavy drinker.
