I have pain in my back. Its on the left side, between the armpit and the hip area. It hurts really bad. I went to the emergency room on Thursday and they gave me Levaquin because my kidney is infected, but the pain hasn't gone away. They said that they would run more tests and let me know. They gave me Vicodin and Levaquin. Ive been taking them since Thursday night, it is now Monday morning and my pain hasnt gone away. Ive been sleeping ALL day every day. This morning I couldnt take my Vicodin because Im working. But I was thinking it could possibly be a pulled muscle or something added to the kidney infection. Anybody know about this? I have a doctors appointment for tomorrow afternoon.. Anything would help. Any way to help with the pain?

Sounds like it's still your kidneys. Did they check you for kidney stones?? Those can cause horrible back pain as well.
