Anybody use a ventilator out there??

my friend is dependant on a vent and has to have a nurse everywhere he goes. He's been fine with it for the last couple years but lately he's been very depressed... He can talk and eat stuff just fine but now he does'nt talk very much and refuses to eat... even the things he loves to normally eat... what should i do?

Answer:
Suggest to your friend that he seek treatment for the depression. This is an expected outcome with vent dependency. The reality of the whole thing is finally sinking in.
