I hold multiple sclerosis and my stiffness is my lone problem?

I have taken zanaflex and baclofen but neither of them work. Is there any other med out at hand that maybe could help me? I am so frustrated that the 2 won't work for me. I longing something else would come out. My dr. won't do dantrolene but I would like to give it a try only just to see if it would work. But, she doesn't like this med. Have you heard of anything else that perchance could help me?

Answers:    Muscle spasticity from MS can also be treated with diazepam (Valium), clonazepam (Klonopin), and dantrolene (Dantrium)

Low dose naltrexone (LDN) only finished a Phase III clinical trial for use in MS last Nov. But articles be already coming out 2 mos. before that saying more clinical trials are still needed for use surrounded by MS.

None drug therapies...Exercise and/or PT: Maintaining a healthy solidity will help with mobility problems. Also, they can assistance with spasticity and muscle weakness.
Exercises, such as tai chi and yoga can lower your stress, serve you to be more relaxed, and increase your energy, balance, and flexibility. As beside any exercise program, check with your doctor before getting started.

Eat strong: A healthy diet just resembling everyone else, making smart choices to balance between food and activity. Ask your doctor what diet is right for you.
There is some evidence that taking an oral supplement of linoleic sharp (found in evening primrose, sunflower seeds, and safflower oil) may slightly raise MS symptoms.

Acupuncture: Some people report that acupuncture provides some relief of symptoms such as torment or muscle spasms. I also like the "MS for Dummies" book. For me MS was the devil I know since my mom and aunt have it. But the book was a appropriate reference for my husband. Plus there be tips I hadn't heard of or thought about.

Hi Pumky, I steal LDN (low dose naltrexone), and that works for me. My neurologist has been prescribing this drug for her patients next to MS for three years now. It not only take care of my stiffness but it has reduced my fatigue down to nil. Too bad your doctor prescribes drugs on the basis of her own biases. Every drug have pros and cons. LDN is still in trials for autoimmune diseases, but it is FDA approved, and it is a generic to boot so it is exceptionally cheap. Good luck to you. I hope you find something that works. http://www.nationalmssociety.org/about-m...

This link record several treatment options that you might want to talk over next to your doctor.

MS, according to main stream medicine is terminal and they sentence you to a life of drugs, pain, and shorter natural life. It is a degenerative disease. If you believe that and take the drugs, your chances of getting your strength back diminish every day.

Multiple Sclerosis is caused by something, not a raw aging process. Why not work on making your body healthy instead of treating the symptoms? It's not easy to be tough in America today and when you get diagnosed next to things like MS, it's even more difficult and easy to become stale. I've never known anyone that was inadequate in drugs. The SAD diet (standard American diet) promotes sickness and diseases. All one has to do is look at the statistics to prove that. The simple reality that primitive man did not have cavities or even plaque build up on his teeth should detail you something. The first case of cardio myfarction in America be recorded in 1921. Cancer & heart disease taunt each other for the number one killer contained by the U.S. now and that is after billions of dollars hold been spent on research. Stroke is now number 3. 26% of ALL Americans enjoy pre-diabetes or diabetes now. "Jerry's Kid's" are still sick after $1billion dollars collected. Yet, primitive man did not have these problems. There are heaps cultures in the world where doctors are extra. MS is all part of this insanity.

If you look to drugs to solve your problem, you inevitability to free yourself from the lies you believe. I would concentrate on making your body healthy, getting rid of the heavy metal burdens most promising generating much of the MS issues, and focus on good solid nutrition.

moral luck to you
