I'm not sure I understand the questions. THR to me, stands for total hip replacement. I'm not quite sure how that's done without surgery? If you had avascular necrosis due to steroid use, and you're only 23, I'm pretty sure you need THR or you'll have probs the rest of your life.
Maybe I've got the acronym wrong though.
