Non-medicinal treatment of fully developed ADD?

I Think I have ADD, it would explain the continuous conflict, poor class, 15,000 freakin jobs, roomates, cities, houses i've lived contained by, im going to see my dr in a few weeks, but im not a huge devotee of taking mind-altering drugs. Does anybody know foods to eat/avoid, exercises that may help, I'd approaching to try non-med first

Answer:
Im not really qualified to give any medical suggestion but I have it too. I hold found that a psychiatrist will spend much more time diagnosing you and knows more roughly speaking ADD medications than most doctors.

When it get really bad I drink a ton of caffeine, I don't really mull over thats its any better than a prescription drug though. Stimulants work for ADD in deeply of people.
Hard cardio exercise also worked for me.
You can do anything that keep your heart rate up for at least 30 minutes.

I feel like you did and have a really hard time taking anything that would alter my mood. Eventually I have to and Im really glad I did.
The drugs do have some side effects, but surrounded by me thay didn't last more than a daytime or two. I take welbutrin for depression and it have stimulant effects that help near ADD.
I think I allowed myself to suffer more than ordinary because I hated the model of taking drugs. (I didn't have a problem self medicating beside alcohol though for some reason) Before that I took stratera but the side effects were severe surrounded by my case and I quit taking it.

Good luck. Hope things jump well for you.

avoid suger and red dye 40

Based on my own experience with Concerta, which is used to treat ADHD, I'd patently, without a doubt, recommend taking it. I know that this isn't what you asked for, but I really get the impression that taking the medication is worth it.

While I do feel more alert, more focused and so on, I don't have a feeling like a different being. I feel equal way I other have, except that I function better surrounded by society and that my quality of duration has increased.

Psychopharmacology is repeatedly misunderstood. The drugs are not there to alter you or to net you happy non-stop, they're near to bring you back to what would be common for you, sans the mental issues.
