As an overweight character, I am curious to know- do we overweight individuals choose to be thus, or is it genetic?
Is man overweight really a choice? In other words, are we big individuals entirely responsible for being heavier than others? Or, is near truly a genetic predisposition for us to be heavier than other people?
Please explain.
I hold an ulterior motive in asking this. A soul is currently ragging on me for "choosing" to be podginess, and I want some hardcore facts to shut them up, because my contention is that some people really can't give a hand being bigger than others.
I know that this is helpful of a cop-out, and takes away my own personal responsibility...but I really want to win this argument. It's crucial to me.

There's plentifully more to it than just unpromising choices or just inheritance.
Overweight and obesity have so many cause, and we don't really know which ones are most important. Certainly inheritance play a role, as do diet, activity horizontal, hormones, medication, intestinal bacteria, environmental factor, social factors, media hype, and possibly things that are hard to avoid, resembling high fructose corn syrup and plastic bottles. (They own a chemical in them that's incredibly similar to human hormones, and may cause mass gain.)
So, no, you didn't just *choose* to be overweight. That's an entirely too simplistic mode of looking at it.
Well, I would say that some relations do have a medical drive for being overweight. Others hold a genetic history that makes it impossible to enjoy the so called "impeccable body" But that being said, lots people overeat. I gain 100 pounds having my children. And I still pass it around because of the bad choices I craft when it comes to food and portions. So only you can answer that quiz pertaining to you. I choose to eat a donut for breakfast. Therefore I choose the consequences. But it is nobody business, except yours. Tell that creature to shut up and mind thier own business.
