What vitamins should I take to help with hormone balance around my period?

Every time around 'that time of the month' I get hungry and exhausted. I get so tired, I can sleep for 12 or more hours. I think I may have something called PMDD but I don’t want to go to the doctors just yet. Is there anything I can take as far as vitamins are concerned that may help lessen the mood swings and exhaustion around the week before my period. Someone suggested Vitamin B’s, but I didn’t notice them working at all…..

St Johs Wart and/or 5HTP. They are GREAT herbal supplements for hormone control. So much so that I used them for mood stabilizers when I didn't have a doc to get Zoloft from!
