First, it depends on the method/instrumentation you are using to test ALT. At the lab I work at we see totally little difference in ALT on run of the mill vs slightly hemolyzed specimens. (We request redraws on markedly hemolyzed specimens). As fas as lipemia... If you assay is photometry based you will gain interference. You have 2 option: airfuging (prefered) or dilution to obtain a reportable result. If the specimen is icteric you should suspect liver issues to commence with so an increase ALT will imagined be seen and my require diluting.
