These crippled children of america's are usually Shriners hospitals. You could get ahold of the Shriners Association of Chicago and they could give an account you something about it. If the hospital have no records after this long (and they are one and only required to keep them up to 10 years) next that would be your best bet. I am not sure if the Shriners Assoc would have archives or the names of the children they help that long either but, you can other try.
