I want to be a nurse that execute test, ultrasounds, sonograms, x-rays, and etc. What are those nurses call
Answers:
They are not typically nurses. That are radiological technicians. The pay is pretty suitable, the hours are generally appropriate, and the work's not too hard. Those who specialize within ultrasounds (sonograms) often gain paid more and there's smaller quantity exposure to radiation and therefore smaller number incidence of leukemia and other cancers. The pay cheque of radiology techs and nurses vary relatively a bit but they certainly can overlap. It's base on education and experience close to everything else.
radiologists;pay don't know
They are not nurses. They are bid radioloigic technologists or x-ray techs. We can perform x-rays and beside proper training we can perform ultrasounds, cat scan, MRI's, mammograms, bone density tests, heart caths, vascular interventions, and nuclear imaging test. You can go through a 2 year hospital program and earn a pass to practice or you can go to a college and assist in any a 2 or 4 year program and have any an associates or a bachelors degree. Either course you get rewarded the same unless you own the bachelors then you take more because you are trained in college to do one of the above speical tests. Most of us are trained on the post.
How much money you make starting out depends on the nouns you live in and the type of place you work. If you work surrounded by a hospital in a surrounding substance to large city you will create more money than if you worked in a doctors organization, clinic, or rural hospital. I live in Kentucky and the average starting earnings in a hospital surrounded by a medium size city is contained by the $15.50 to $16.50 range. Every year we carry raises for appropriate performance evaluations and cost of living raise. Those raises array anywhere from 25 cents up to $1.00 sometimes more.
I hope this helps
