I want to start meditation. How can I meditate?



Answers:
The whole aim of meditation is,
1. to appease your mind, and
2. to focus the mind on one thing.

The mind of a majority person is similar to an uncontrolled monkey jumping from one thought to another. To process adjectives these thoughts a lot of body spirit is used. Thus if your mind cease to process thoughts you will be abiding a lot of body zest which can be used to cure a lot of ailments surrounded by your body. That is why a person who continues to meditate regularly even get a nice body complexion.

Anapana or concentration on the breath is the best form of meditation.

If you sit down and close your eyes you will notice that your mind is jump from one thought to another. Even though you want to concentrate on your breath you will find other thoughts also coming in between.

In erudition to meditate you must first learn to harmony your mind. You do this by following every thought that comes into you mind. You must be like a Manager of a Hotel who stands at the entrance and observe the customers coming in. Without getting attached to the thoughts try to view them. You will find that a thought comes in and that it go nowhere and another thought follows it - try following that too - with same results. This mode you will find that your thoughts gradually subside. Do not try to force out your thoughts.

Of course do not expect results contained by one or two days. Practise it for at least 40 minutes every daytime for at least 2 months you find that you enjoy 'killed' your train of thoughts. I have practised for nearly 2 years and still beggar thoughts come in.

Thereafter start concentrating on your breath. Notice the breath coming within and going out. You should not concentrate only on the tip of your feeler. Notice the breath coming in and thereafter your lungs getting bursting and then unhurriedly exhaling the breath.

After you finish that for the day start to mull over of a person or several people whom you hate most. Having those general public in mind start to cogitate in a compassionate behaviour "may he be healthy, may he be cheerful, may he go up contained by life, may he live long". Keep on doing this for nearly 10 minutes a day for a few months you will find that you do not draw from angry even when you have to return with angry.

Find a comfortable position, without distraction. try to clear your mind, complete plainness. Then focus your mind on the question you are face with.

There are various good websites that can assistance you. Just google "meditation." You can also find classes and workshops--check your local newspaper, especially the "religion" subdivision. There are many flawless books on meditation; check your library.

I have found meditation awfully helpful. The book that get me started was "A Place Apart" by a Trappist monk name M. Basil Pennington.

i would recommend you to join a Yoga class because I've found it immensely useful. after sometime you'll know how to do it by yourself. but first learn what you can from a yoga tutor. if you are not interested in joining a class, next find a peaceful(quiet and calm) place, time and position and do breathing exercises. make sure you do not 'think' of anything; a moment ago feel the atmosphere going in, wadding the lungs and going out. Best result if you do it in the morning and contained by open nouns!

Sit at a serene place and close ur eyes.Concentrate on something u really beleive in.Thats it.
Now-a-days not a soul is interested to do meditation in this busy energy.It is very appreciable item that u want to start meditation.
To start meditation select a posture of yours in which you can stay for long time.Then select a place which is unbelievably quiet and level-headed where not a soul disturbs you.The place must get fresh and cool breeze.So,it is better to meditate surrounded by the early hours approaching 4'O'clock in the morning.Then close your eyes after settling contained by your posture.Don't think of anyone and within must be no expression on your face.Imagine that a spirit is lightening contained by the middle of your heart and in the middle of the muted there is God.So,try to find him within your heart.Atlast definitely u will find him inside you.
If you have Ramakrishna Math surrounded by your city it is better to join in attendance to learn meditation as they conduct weekly classes.

sit easy whenever u r free , anywhere which is comfortable to u.
it dosent situation that u r empty stomach or enjoy just eat.if u wish to enjoy pillow in spinal column of u ,do so, make urself comfortable as much as u can because u own to do this thing regularly and at smallest for half an hour untill and unless u start getting eagerness in meditation.
dont try to sit thorough straight , merely loosen ur body . i do it late darkness as i sleep late. u can choose the time as u desire. leave non veg if u can .
merely concentrate between ur eyebrows , no tapes no audios.
a moment ago sit and keep thoughts coming and going , do it regularly and ur through.
its the right road and easy instrument to get started.
