Ultram/other opiates motive agitation instead of slowness?
I've noticed that both Ultram and Vicodin appear to have an conflicting effect on me than they have on other citizens. Whereas other people grasp kind of slothful, drowsy, spaced-out, I've found that these medications fashion me restless with lots of get-up-and-go, even agitated, seem to effect muscle twitches, and keep me awake if not I find myself waking frequently during the darkness, like a stimulant. I'm not overdosing or combining near other meds.
Is there some chance metabolic or genetic variant that could exact this reaction? I don't bear the Ultram very recurrently, but I'd like to know that I'm not doing something noxious. I'm at a loss about what other non-opiate, non-NSAID painkillers I can try...but if anyone have a suggestion, Id be glad to hear it

CNS effects may be inhibitory or excitatory, include alterations in consciousness and cognition, and compass from mild drowsiness to profound sedation, euphoria to delirium with hallucination. Patients may have mild lightheadedness or sickening dizziness. Excitatory effects include exaggerated sensitivity to discomfort, muscle twitching or jerking, or seizure, all of which may be related to excessive assembly of the opioid .
Adverse effects are specific to some individuals. They may be age related.
I don't know what else you can try.. but the reason for your sensitivity to the med's your on.. may be a hyper sensativity to it.. an allergic reaction surrounded by the making I would bet. Vicoden when I first start taking it will make me sleepy after a few days of individual on it.. I am wide awake.. and totally unqualified to sleep... <then again I'm an insomniac anyway>
Talk to your doc. I used to purloin a med for Carpal Tunnel called Lodin.. not sure what the plinth is.. but talk to the doc nearly it.. it did help me...
