Is the blood of the Hepatic Portal Vein, Oxygenated on Deoxygenated?
Blood of the hepatic portal vein is de-oxygenated blood.All of the blood which pass through the intestine and spleen is delivered to the liver by the hepatic portal artery for detoxification.
The liver also receives arterial blood, carrying oxygen, from the hepatic artery.
Blood flow to the liver is incomparable in that it receive both oxygenated and deoxygenated blood. As a result, portal blood has lower pO2 and perfusion pressure than the other organs of the body. Blood pass from branches of the portal vein through cavity between "plates" of hepatocytes called sinusoids. Blood also flows from branches of the hepatic artery and mixes into the sinusoids to supply the hepatocytes near oxygen. This mixture percolates through the sinusoids and collects surrounded by a central artery which drains into the hepatic vein. The hepatic capillary subsequently drains into the inferior vena cava.

Its deoxygenated. By definition, vein carry deoxygenated blood rear legs to the heart, and oxygenated blood leaves the heart though the arteries. Also, if you look at diagrams, the hepatic portal vein is usually depicted as blue. blue is used to depict deoxygenated blood pathway and red is used to rep present oxygenated blood pathways.
I individual went as far as High School form courses, but it was my insight at that level, that vein were the return pedestrian area of deoxygenated blood in the circulatory system.
the hepatic portal artery is deoxygenated. remember that veins are ALWAYS deoxyenated. also the artery does not go from the stomach to the liver, it go from the liver to the stomach.

Thats the one exception. HPV carry oxygenated blood.
Veins, by definition, are vessels which return blood (oxygenated or not) to the heart. For example the pulmonary vein drain oxygenated blood from the lungs into the heart, so do not make the mistake that adjectives veins fetch de-oxygenated blood.
That being said, blood flows through the vessel supplying the digestive tract, exchanging oxygen for waste (CO2) and picking up nutrients, toxins, fat, proteins, etc. and is then routed to the liver via the HPV. In the liver the blood is processed and detoxified beforehand being returned via the vena cava to the heart for re-circulation .
As blood entering the liver via the HPV have already been circulated through the tissues it would enjoy been responsible for oxygenating, the blood within the hepatic portal vein is deoxygenated. The liver have it's own oxygenated blood supply via the systemic circulation. Finally, keep surrounded by mind that deoxygenated blood has not lost ALL of its oxygen, but this is more of a hemodynamic physics problem not really relevant to this interrogate.
I need to correct the other posters. First vein do not "by definition carry unoxgenated blood. The Pulmonary artery carries fresh red blood from the lungs to the vanished atrium, and the pulmonary artery carries blue blood from the right ventricle to the lungs. NOW for the material story, veins carry blood towards the heart and arteries carries blood away from the heart. The Portal artery actually consists of three other vein the splenic vein, the inferior mesenteric artery and I cannot remember the third (sorry). The join to kind up the hepatic portal vein which take some blood from the intestines and carries it to the liver. This blood would be lower surrounded by O2 levels and rich surrounded by nutrients. The portal vein afterwards empties into the inferior Vena Cava.

By definition, veins transport deoxygenated blood. Exception- Pulmonary vein (from the lungs to the heart) carry oxygenated blood. Similarly, arteries carry oxygenated blood. Exception- Pulmonary artery (from the heart to the lungs) carry deoxygenated blood.
The Liver receives blood from Portal artery (deoxygenated) and from hepatic artery (oxygenated). Deoxygenated blood flows from the liver through the hepatic vein and join to the Inferior vena cava.
Portal Triad consists of 3 components(1) The Hepatic Portal Vein (2) The Hepatic Artery (3) Bile Ducts.

it's oxygenated blood.. it's a capillary because it the blood in it isn't at illustrious pressure not because of the oxygenation of the blood, just look at the pulmonary vessel ;)
its contains dexygenated blood , n taken to the rt heart through inferior vena cava , n to the lungs through pulmonary arteriers for oxygenation..
there are some exception where on earth veins fetch oxygenated the umbilical vein during pregnancy i believe,and another somewhere fundamental the heart .
