The basic disadvantage of computer work is dry eyes. You tend to blink less when you work on a computer and this cause your eyes to dry out more causing irritation and blush. You probably would have notice already that your eyes are very red after a few hours aft your PC?
Furthermore the prolonged near work cause strain on your eyes that may lead to fatigue, headache and neck strain.
My suggestions to you if you own any of these symptoms to do the following:
get a well-mannered eye lubricant ie. artificial tears for the dry eye
take regular breaks between work to look at objects surrounded by the distance(it helps your eyes to relax)
consider getting reading spectacles if you are elder than 40years.
