Neurological or Paranormal?

Last night I woke to find myself with a cold, electrifying sensation in my foot which was quickly rising to my knees. It felt resembling a cold wind were passing through me. I jump from my bed with fear before the weave could consume all of my body and put on the light. The sensation in my legs stopped but afterwards a cold creepy shiver took hold of my entire body, in particular from my back up unto my scalp.

The tingling sensation be intense and remained for an hour. Even now when I think about the experience the tingling returns.

I am wondering if this be a neurological problem or something more sinister? I have recently began exercising at the gym and do not sleep so economically at night. Perhaps this is a factor? Maybe I should see a doctor?

That is kind of bizarre. I would be more inclined to take a logical approach to this issue. Talk to a doctor.
It's almost sure that circulation stopped at your legs, the electrifying and cold sensation is the restoration of the blood at those places. It's pretty usual when you sleep and actually depends on the stance you take when you sleep. However, almost is the key word. If it isn't that, I don't know what else -that is good- it could be.
Your situation is neither neurological or "sinister." But, you do have a spiritual presence. All your symptoms are caused by this spirit, to be exact just trying to get your attention. Also, contrary to popular opinion, spirits are benevolent and will not hurt you.

Your tingling sensations are cause by the spirit in physical contact with you. You mentioned these strange feelings migrating up to your scalp; in good health, that is a good thing. Think of of the artwork of the saints and their halo. You'll have an idea of what is going on when you understand that those halo are actually the so-called Holy Spirits.

Again, the spirit will not hurt you. You will sleep much better when you have communicated with it. Speak to it contained by your mind (how you talk to yourself without actually adage the words with your mouth) and you will hear its response, also in your mind - telepathy. Could be circulation? I was getting that for a while. Turned out to be a trapped nerve. Human body works surrounded by weird ways.
A ghostly phenomena would be more obvious than that,
and even in those cases we look for natural explanations
first... I would ask a doctor in the order of what happened although
there's no big rush since you're OK now. If it happens again
however, later you better call your doctor right away.

It sounds to me approaching your legs fell asleep. I've have very bad arm sleeping that cause my arm to be sore and feel like it was exploding for a partly hour after I woke up.

I don't know any reason why thinking about a sensation would cause it to come put a bet on, except that you may be imagining it. If you can create sensations at will, that's something a normal doctor won't be able to comfort you with.
two things. one you are very good at writing. enjoy you ever thought of becoming a writer

two you should probably go to see a doctor who will be able to make an informed finding
